Hi!
Summer is wonderful for many things.
Maintaining a beautifully organised training routine is not always one of them 😂
You travel. You stay out later. Your living room becomes too hot. Suddenly, practising feels like something that requires a free afternoon, a studio and enormous levels of motivation.
It doesn’t.
Here is a complete practice session you can do in ten minutes:
Minutes 1 and 2: Put on a song and let your body find the pulse. No steps yet.
Minutes 3 to 5: Explore simple weight transfers. Forward, backwards and side to side. Pay attention to when your weight has genuinely arrived.
Minutes 6 to 8: Choose one role or one skill. Repeat only one small idea.
Minutes 9 and 10: Record yourself once. Watch it without judging the entire dance. Look only at the thing you practised.
Done.
You do not need a partner to improve your balance, timing, coordination, body awareness or movement quality.
MINDSET RESET
A short practice is not a failed long practice. It is a completed short practice.
SUMMER QUEST: MISSION 2 OF 10
Do the ten-minute routine once this week.
If you’re feeling ambitious, repeat it. But one completed session earns the point.
□ Mission completed
Current possible score: 2/10

And because this week is about dancing solo for a little bit on your own:
Not everything in the RoleRotation Store is serious. Equality, freedom and sass can coexist.
Next Sunday: three tiny things that make people feel safer dancing with you.
See you then,
Don’t forget to post your dancing rolerotation videos on social media and collab with all the Rolerotation pages around the world!
RoleRotation is something we learn, live and make visible together.
