Record ten seconds now. Compare it again next week.

Hi!

Sometimes we don’t begin because we’re not sure whether a class, practice method or new role will work for us.

But you don’t need certainty.

You need a small experiment.

Here is one you can complete in seven days:

Day 1: Record ten seconds of one movement, pattern or skill.

Days 2 to 6: Practise one idea that could improve it. Ten focused minutes is enough.

Day 7: Record the same thing again.

Use the same song, camera angle and approximate speed. Then compare only one variable.

Maybe your weight transfer is clearer. Maybe your timing changed. Maybe you have more control. Maybe nothing changed yet, but you now understand the problem much better.

That is still information.

Do not compare your entire identity as a dancer. Compare the thing you actually practised.

MINDSET RESET

You don’t need to believe something will work before you test it.

SUMMER QUEST: MISSION 8 OF 10

Make your ten-second before video! Do it, don’t overthink it.

Practise one idea during the week, then make your ten-second after video.

Keep both. Tiny changes are incredibly easy to forget when you have no evidence.

Current possible score: 8/10

Some things are worth experimenting with. Being visible and proud of who you are should not be one of them.
