Hi!
Maybe you already rotate roles throughout an entire song. Maybe you are learning your second role. Maybe you have never tried it, but the idea makes sense to you.
All three count.
For the next ten Sundays, we’re sending you one little piece of the RoleRotation world: something useful to learn, something to try, and something to think about.
We’re calling it the RoleRotation Summer Quest.
There are ten missions. Complete one and you earn one green point. No deadlines, no pressure, and no need to send us proof. This is between you and your dance floor conscience 😂
Let’s start with something important:
RoleRotation is not only switching roles during a dance.
It can begin with understanding that roles are skills, not identities. Then perhaps you become curious about another role. Then you explore both. And one day, if you want to, you might begin rotating between them.
You do not need to reach the final stage before you are allowed to belong here.
MINDSET RESET
You don’t become part of something once you master it. You become part of it when you decide to explore it.
SUMMER QUEST: MISSION 1 OF 10
During one social dance, invite someone outside your usual circle.
Before the dance, simply ask:
“What role or roles do you feel like dancing?”
That’s it. One question, one dance, one green point.
□ Mission completed
Current possible score: 1/10

Already inside the Academy? Open RoleRotation 40 Moves and choose one move you have never properly explored.
New here? The Academy has different paths depending on whether you want to learn another role, improve your RoleRotation or simply grow as a dancer.
And because this week is about dancing beyond your usual circle, this had to be the piece:
We created it for the people who don’t ask what somebody “looks like they dance.” They simply ask.
Next Sunday: a complete practice session you can do in ten minutes, without a partner.
See you then,
Don’t forget to post your dancing rolerotation videos on social media and collab with all the Rolerotation pages around the world!
RoleRotation is something we learn, live and make visible together.
