Hi!
Have you ever watched a recording of yourself and thought:
“I know something is wrong. I just can’t tell what it is.”
Then you watch it again, dislike twelve more things and leave with absolutely no idea what to practise.
Try watching the same recording three times:
First viewing: Timing
Are you moving with the rhythm you intended? Where do you rush or arrive late?
Second viewing: Weight and base
Where is your weight? Are your steps supporting the movement? Are you finishing one transfer before beginning the next?
Third viewing: Upper-body choices
What are your arms, shoulders, head and torso doing? Are they helping the movement or reacting after it?
Now choose one thing.
Not the most embarrassing thing. Not everything. The one variable that would be most useful to work on next.
Feeling stuck often feels enormous because the problem has never been made specific. It all comes at once!
MINDSET RESET
Being stuck usually requires a better question, not harsher self-criticism.
SUMMER QUEST: MISSION 9 OF 10
Record thirty seconds of your dancing.
Watch it three times using the audit above. Write down exactly ONE thing you want to investigate.
If your note says “be better,” it does not count 😂
□ Mission completed
Current possible score: 9/10

Already inside the Academy? Bring your question to Feedback Tuesday. The more specific your question is, the more useful our answer can be.
New here? Sometimes one message to us is worth ten hours of searching through random tutorials alone.
And because we have spent an entire email analysing posture, we couldn’t resist:
We make serious learning resources. We also make very unserious T-shirts. Balance.
Next Sunday: the final mission, your autumn direction and the moment of truth for your Summer Quest score.
See you then,
Don’t forget to post your dancing rolerotation videos on social media and collab with all the Rolerotation pages around the world!
