Hi!
“I’m going to practise” sounds productive.
But practise what?
Without a specific answer, it’s very easy to dance around for forty minutes, repeat the things you already do comfortably and finish without knowing whether anything changed.
Try this instead:
Minutes 1 and 2: Choose one question.
Not “How can I dance better?”
Something observable, something specific, one thing, such as: “Am I transferring my weight completely?” or “Can I keep this turn smaller?”
Minutes 3 to 7: Repeat slowly.
No music if the music makes you rush.
Minutes 8 to 12: Add one song.
Keep working on the same question. Do not suddenly add five more goals.
Minutes 13 to 15: Record and observe.
Watch only for the answer to your original question.
That is a full practice.
MINDSET RESET
Consistency is easier when the task has edges.
SUMMER QUEST: MISSION 6 OF 10
Complete this fifteen-minute structure three times this week.
Use the same question in all three sessions so your body gets a real chance to work on it.
□ Mission completed
Current possible score: 6/10

You do not need to complete an entire course every week for online learning to work.
Already inside the Academy? Choose one short idea from the Dance Tips Series and use it as your question for all three sessions.
New here? Classes stay available while your subscription is active, so you can pause, repeat and build a routine that fits your actual life.

And because some weeks we practise beautifully while other weeks we are simply trying to survive:
Dance matters. People matter more.
Next Sunday: why watching more classes is not always the answer.
See you then,
